Supported Transitional Employment

What is Supported Transitional Employment?

Having a job isn’t just about earning an income – it can help to build

confidence, develop skills and widen friendships. However, finding and

sustaining employment can be tough. We believe that anyone who wants to work should have the opportunity to do so, and in some cases community employment isn’t always the most suitable.

Our Social Enterprises provide an opportunity to work in a meaningful job, while getting paid a competitive wage to gain and build skills to support individual employment goals.

Who is Eligible for Supported Transitional Employment?

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Identifies as living with a mental illness or substance use disorder

  • Not currently engaged in work or other education programming that would create a timing conflict – we never want to have some remove themselves or miss time in community employment or other education/training initiatives

  • Motived to learn about employment, work and build on your skill sets
